After a long week of designing (and by designing, I mean re-doing, AGAIN) MSE walls and getting plan sheets ready, I was ready for a nice long weekend this weekend. My friends* and I went to the usual bar on Friday night. We had a good time there, ate some food, played some pinball. Nothing special but good times as always.
Saturday we decided to make pepperoni rolls.
The rolls turned out awesome, we added cheese and banana peppers to them. Vince and I were big fans of the peppers, while Jaye was still digging the traditional rolls.

We also drank some wine that night.

We also played some Settlers of Catan. And I finally won! Of course I had some help because I still suck.
Sunday we baked all day long. We made Jaye’s birthday cake since it is coming up on Tuesday.
We made a two tier basic sour cream cake with butter cream icing and a layer of cookie in the middle. YUM.
This thing weighs a ton, and it really is not that huge. It is pretty and I like it.
We also made a ton of snicker doodle cupcakes with a cookie drop in the middle. With cream cheese icing. Again, YUM.
I made my very first fondant rose. Pretty eh? Here's how it started:
On top of that, we managed to run on Saturday and Sunday, and we totally rocked it out. We ran about 5k both days, with a time of 36 minutes on Sat. and 34 on Sun. Be proud.
Now I’m doing laundry and getting ready to call it a night. I said I’d only eat one cupcake, but I might have eaten two.
Be VERY proud of 10k in a weekend.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE playing Settlers of Catan! Brilliant blog title btw. You are so words. I should start one called "your opinion is wrong" or is it "my opinion is correct" one of those is your brother. If I could run 5k's I would eat two cupcakes every single day. Do you take pictures because everything you do is pretty now? It is. This blog shall tempt scores of persons to wild and wonderful land. I talk about you a lot but now those people who don't know you can read about your day to day business and feel like your best friend! Just like a stalker!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE stalkers! You need a blog called your opinion is wrong. That one is yours. I do not take pictures, Jaye takes pictures and her awesome camera makes them look super pretty on top of them being pretty. And then I steal them. You can move here and live with me, they make large houses here.
