Thursday already?

Well, I had hoped to be a bit more proactive when it came to keeping this blog updated. This has been a FAIL. But, in my defense I have been very busy.

I bought a house last Friday! WEEHAW folks! I'm still super excited about it. Seriously, I looked at about 12 houses and this one was just it. I was a little freaked out that I found it so quickly. But I feel pretty good about it. I put my offer in at 5:30, and I had a house by 6:00. Crazy eh? They came down seven and I only went up four so I WIN! And I was informed that someone else has an offer in behind mine just in case I don't follow through. This is good news, because it reinforces the fast that this house will resale nicely. I will be posting pictures soon.

Last weekend, I went to Pittsburg, PA with Jaye and Vince. I had never been to Pennsalvania before, and I must say it is a lot like West Virgnina. We went to Ikea. Wow. That is an expedition I'll tell ya! There is really no way to prepare yourself for that what is the IKEA experience. You could seriously remodel your house in one trip there and one flat pack trip back. I got a ton of great ideas, which is all I can ask for on my first trip there. I didn't even get a stinkin spatula! I expect to go back after I move in, which will be in the first couple weeks of April.

We also went to REI. I really like the store, they had good sales. Not that I bought something, because that would be unheard of on this trip. I didn't buy squat accidently. But I did find out that I don't fit in hiking pants. They are not Amelia shaped.

I've spent the last couple evenings playing catch up and cooking, and talking with old friends. I may or may not have drank some vino tonight. Tomorrow I will be finishin up my pier design for a bridge on the KY VA border. Such is life.
